Day 42 (Fri) Cyclist encounter Bill in Haswell, CO

The roads seem a bit rougher today, there are joints every 10-15 feet where the road has cracked from expansion and been filled with tar that give me a good jolt, though I've noticed that I tend to feel jolts more when I haven't eaten enough too.

We have a tail wind, or at least a tail breeze. Overall we have been pretty fortunate with winds in the plains (Western Kansas, Eastern Colorado), getting tailwinds a fair portion of the time.

The traffic, especially truck traffic, seems lighter than in recent days.

In Haswell, CO we met Bill (see photo), who was taking shelter at the little convenience store. He's a lawyer from Ft. Lauderdale travelling east on the transam.
