Day 89 (Wed 10/04) evening in Kirkwood, Ca - Dean

After our tough climb over Carson Pass, we sought lodging in the town of Kirkwood, CA. (fortunately the temp at Carson summit was a balmy 46 F, much warmer than the 10,500' Cedar Mtn in Utah) The Kirkwood Inn was full and the nearby Gables Inn was $130 but a restaurant patron Dean offered us an unused hunting trailer for the night.
