Day 89 - gold aspens, 8573' Carson Pass

Photo: we are lingering in the mountains possibly later in the year than is prudent. However, the Aspens changing color to gold are a stunning sight. Today has been a tough climb of over 4000'. My energy level felt less than optimal despite the large pasta meal I ate at Barbara & Peter's house in Carson City. Despite grades up to 14% we were fortunate that weather was good up to the 8573' summit.
