Day 87 (Mon 10/02) morning in Fallon, NV

Reminder: We are on Pacific Time since crossing the Nevada-Utah border.

I have been in contact with 2 strong potential candidate companion riders for after-SF when Mag returns to NY.

Josh is a 35 yo dude with a property management business, yet he's burned out and has the travel bug. He's selling his fancy house in Pittsburgh and on his way to St. Augustine, FL to begin the Southern Tier as we speak. After he finishes the Southern Tier in San Diego, CA he may be interested in touring with me in Mexico.

Melissa is in San Diego, CA right now. She's interested in touring in Mexico and wants someone to ride with her for safety. She's hoping to work in San Diego for a few weeks which will give me time to get to SF and catch up with her in San Diego. I don't know much about her yet; we have exchanged only a few e-mails.

Mag wanted to take a rest day today, but I convinced her that we should have 2 short riding days rather than a rest day and a 60 mile day. So, today we will go about 25 miles to Silver Springs.
