Day 7 end (Owego, NY to Corning, NY) in
After a late start we made it from the village of Owego, NY to Corning, NY a distance of approximately 50 miles. Recalling the day, the heat was soon overwhelming and had both of us fantasizing about jumping in swimming pools we saw in people's back yards. We decided to get a motel to recharge for $50 at the Gatehouse motel and have a nice dinner at the Market Street Brew Pub in town (We shared a steak sandwich, fish sandwich, fried pita bread w/spinach dip appetizer, and brownie a la mode for dessert).
Tomorrow we go to Corning museum of glass. We plan to be there by opening of 9 AM to allow plenty of time to see the exhibits.
