Day 5 evening: wonderful host family in Windsor, NY

We went to the hospital in Windsor looking for someone who would provide lodging for the night. I had never had success with hospitals but I hadn't tried it much. Fortunately, Nancy the desk nurse was sympathetic to our lodging deprived predicament and called everybody she knew.

Marian and Phil agreed to host us for the night. The own the local pizzeria in town. We gorged ourselves on Chicken Cordon Bleu, pasta, bread, etc. and they wouldn't even accept payment. They gave us 2 rooms in their huge house. Maggie's room was bigger than her apartment back home.

(the next morning Marian gave us free breakfast at the restaurant and even packed 2 sandwiches for lunch which will ate later across from the bike shop in Binghamton)
