Day 06 (Thu Jul 13) evening: Homeless in Owego

The guy at the bicycle shop seemed to fix Maggie's derailleur and installed a chain guard so that it can't fall off. We rode to the village of Owego which had been flooded and the camp sites were wiped out. The motels were booked with aid workers. No luck at fire station so Maggie spoke with the police and they let us camp in the park (also flooded not in the not distant past). My matches were contaminated by alcohol so they couldn't light the stove so Maggie got some hot food at grocery store. I improvised a shower using my hydration bladder and a nail outside the bathroom.
