Day 90 (Thu 10/05) Rode to Placerville, CA

We didn't feel like riding from Cooks Station but nevertheless we pressed on once the rain stopped (I was able to dry my clothes in the machine for free). Despite the impressive loss of altitude it wasn't all easy and there was significant climbing on the way to Placerville, Ca. We researched lodging options and settled on the Historic Cary Hotel (pricey by our standards at $80 but very nice).
