Day 63 (Fri 08:00) cold & rainy in Durango

08:00. I camped north of town last night and initially didn't choose my site well. The hillside was so steep I kept sliding to the bottom of my tent and there were big rocks underneath me that were several inches high and sharp so they poked my back even through my Thermarest shortie (48" length). About 01:00 I got up in the rain & moved my tent down the hill to a flatter spot. It rained most of the night but I slept pretty well after that. I'm waiting at the Budget Inn where I stayed on Wednesday to see if I can get a room.
