Day 59 (Mon) Cliff Palace tour 1

The Ancestral Puebloan sites at Mesa Verde are over 20 miles away from the campground and over hilly terrain so we didn't have time to ride. Instead we hitched with some motorists to the Visitor Center and then to a tour ($3) of Cliff Palace, the largest site at Mesa Verde (possibly a convention center). We had a brief moment of panic driving through a pitch black tunnel without headlights.
