Day 59 (Mon) Mesa Verde National Park

I got up around 0630 in Cortez, had breakfast and met Mag and Ed when they arrived from Dolores around 0900. We climbed out of the valley for about 9 miles and just arrived at Mesa Verde (the cliff dwellings here are from the twilight of the Ancestral Pueblan civilization, before drought forced them to migrate away in the vicinity of the 1300s). Now we have 4 climbing miles to campground and 23 to the Anasazi cliff dwellings. There's no cell coverage in most of the park. So far the new tire isn't rubbing the fender and it is ok. Mag and Ed rode ahead.
