Day 58 Tire woes; spend night in Cortez

Unfortunately the tire was too badly damaged so it blew again almost immediately. I walked the bike towards Cortez for a while in the sun, then hitched a ride. The bike shop is closed Sunday and Monday so I went to Walmart to get a tire. The best fit was a 1.9" width cruiser tire; I spent hours wrestling with my fender clearance. I never saw Mag and Ed; they left around 3 to climb back to Dolores.
