Day 60 Bear sighting, riding to Morefield camp (wind, rain)

I SAW A BEAR! He was about 10 meters away over the road but ran before I could photo. I also saw 4 deer. Photos: Top - forests on the mesa devastated by forest fire. Bottom - descending toward Morefield campground though rain and wind before sunset (worth it to see Balcony House).

Mag and Ed are waiting another 15 miles past the campground at the Enchanted Mesa motel in Mancos. To reach them, I will need to go another maybe 5 miles to the Morefield campground, then 4 miles down the steep switchbacks to the intersection of US highway 150, then about 8 miles to Mancos.
