2 days ago when my old tire gave out, changing to the new tire changed the derailleur alignment with the result that my chain dropped off the cassette into the spokes, tearing 1 and damaging 8. Fortunately Maggie has friends at the bike shop who fixed it same day. They didn't charge me for labor and just $1 for each spoke which was a great deal.
