(Hills of misery on "Bike Route" 17) Fourth of pain

I won't describe how brutal the hills were today. Suffice it to say I slept at midday for about a half an hour, even though it was raining I put out my tent footprint and theramrest and slept for about a half an hour. When I arrived in Narrowsburg, NY after only 38 miles for the day I set up my tent near the Colonial museum and slept for more than an hour. I couldn't believe how difficult the climbing was.

Later I realized that my rear brake pad was rubbing my rim. I don't know how long that had been going on. I'll have to keep an eye on that.
