Thu 12/14; Hummingbird rescue (failed)

A hummingbird trapped himself in the skylight by Lisa's apt. He keeps trying to fly up into the skylight even though the way is clear for him to escape by less direct routes. We've tried to attract him with fake flowers, real flowers, put a cup of sugar water on a pole to feed him, and tried to get him out of the skylight using a hat on same pole. Lisa's next door neighbor called the maintenance crew to see if they can help, but I'm out of ideas.
