Sat 12/16; set off, 80 km, camp Carlsbad
We hit the road from aunt Lisa's around noon, because Jen couldn't find a post office for some packages & we did laundry & dishes. I got hungry quickly since we left at lunchtime. Much was on bike paths. Instead of going through Pendleton military base we rode on I-5 for 7 mi. In Carlsbad we were both hungry after 50 mi & it was after dark & raining so we camped in a day use park & cooked dinner.
