Mon 12/18; Golden Gate motel

While Jen was on her own on the U.S. side of the small and not imposing at all bridge and structures separating Mexico from California, she met a man named Daniel who she described as very helpful, and offered to lodge us in Tijuana. However, we called the number he provided later and after I spoke with his mother in Spanish, learned that the room was not available tonight.

We went checking prices in the downtown Tijuana area. The prices were similar to U.S. prices, though for higher quality than low end motels in the U.S. We ended up staying at a Dive called the Golden Gate motel, complete with a bored hooker outside (US $17).
