Day 28 cycling the 225 mi Katy trail

We are riding on the 225 mile long Katy trail formerly Missouri-Kansas-Texas railroad land. It is paved with packed limestone called "pug" which we mistook for gravel until corrected by the trail guide. The surface is slower than road but we have no worries about aggressive drivers. Though the heat wave is over, the shade offers relief from the still intense sun. The river you see is the Missouri.
